FairPrice campaign raises rice for 7,000 needy families

Supermarket chain NTUC FairPrice raised about half a million bowls of rice for needy families through walking activities.

The rice will be distributed to about 7,000 needy families over the next five months

About 23,500 participants clocked a total of 65,700 kilometres in walking activities during this year’s FairPrice Walk for Rice @ South East.

CEO (Singapore) of NTUC FairPrice, Mr Seah Kian Peng, led the event on Friday morning at Braddell Heights to mark the conclusion of this year’s campaign and to distribute the first 10,000 bowls of rice to needy families living in the area.
