600 children to receive Christmas gifts from annual charity project

Some 600 children will be receiving presents through Stars of Christmas, an annual charity project.

The project, which donations and Christmas gifts are collected for underprivileged children who are or suffering from life-threatening illnesses is organised by Mandarin Orchard Singapore, Overseas Union Enterprise and Meritus Hotels and Resorts.

Some 60 santas and santarinas gathered outside Mandarin Gallery, all geared up on Harley Davidson bikes, to spread the festive cheer to the children.

These volunteers helped to deliver about a hundred Christmas presents to the various aid societies, including Club Rainbow and VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer.

As part of the charity project, volunteers will be delivering around 500 more presents to needy children over the following week.
