Lions Befrienders will be jointly organising the annual Befriending Walk event with ITE College West this year. It will be held on March 17, 2013 at IT College West and the guest-of-honour would be Minister for Health Gan Kim Yong.
The objectives of the event are to promote active and positive ageing, community participation in caring for seniors and intergenerational bonding through this event. Funds raised from the event will be channeled towards supporting the 3,000 needy and vulnerable seniors served by the six Senior Activity Centres run by Lions Befrienders.
