Getting an early morning workout and doing it for a good cause – that is what some 1,200 women did at a zumba fitness party on Sunday morning at the Marina Bay Event Square.
The event raised a total of S$12,000 from ticket sales, which will go to the Singapore Association for the Deaf to help needy families purchase hearing aids and assistive devices.
The event also aims to get women to lead an active lifestyle and forge close bonds this National Day.
Amy Khor, Minister of State for Health, said: “This is really a fun, meaningful and novel way to rally women to come together on a common platform that is Zumba, to celebrate our National Day, and to celebrate the achievements and contributions that women have made to our nation.”
