On Sunday, December 8th 2013, we will be visiting the Tanjong Pagar Family Service Center to engage some of the children from low-income families in the local community. Volunteers will be paired with one child and will spend the day teaching the children about basic photography, as well as helping the children to capture images of women and girls who inspire them from within their local community. Volunteers will help the children write descriptions and prepare their images to display to their community.
Date:: Sunday, December 8th 2013
Time:: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Requirements:: Anyone is welcome to volunteer. We ask that all volunteers bring in their own camera (professional quality is not required) to help the children take pictures. A background in photography is not required – the goal of this program is to get the children excited and engaged with their local community and not purely teach them technical photography skills.
Contact:: To sign up or for more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like to get involved with this program but are unable to volunteer your time, we are also looking for donations of photography equiment and printing supplies for the family service center. Should you wish to make a donation, please contact email@example.com
