“Not just a jog in the park, but a Volunteering MARATHON!”

Dates:
20th – 21st December 2013

Time (TBC):
8.00am – 6.00pm (20th Dec)
8.00am – 9.00pm (21st Dec)

In collaboration with Positive Intentions, a few students are organising this Christmas Merry Marathon for the second year running! We aim to spread the Christmas spirit to beneficiaries who get neglected during this festive season. We hope that amidst the joy of celebrating with our own friends and family, we will not forget those in our society who might require our love and care as well. This year, we will be (tentatively) visiting three places: Surya Home, Fame Club and Chai Chee One Room Flats.

Surya Home – Set up in 2005, Surya Home is the one of the few psychiatric homes in Singapore that take in mentally-disabled individuals, such as those afflicted by dementia, schizophrenia, depression and Down Syndrome, etc. Many of these individuals come from low-income families, and some do not have next-of-kin.
