Home Nursing Foundation’s fundraising walk raises S$100,000

More than S$100,000 was raised at the Home Nursing Foundation’s annual fundraising event on Saturday.

The foundation said it is a 30-per cent fall compared to the amount collected last year – citing the lack of corporate donors this year.

Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for Health and Manpower, flagged off the “Walk for Love” at East Coast Park on Saturday morning.

Some 1,200 participants enjoyed the three-kilometre walk.

It is part of the Home Nursing Foundation’s efforts to reach out to the underprivileged in the community.

The foundation also hopes to create awareness of its home healthcare services for the needy and elderly, as well as their caregivers.
