Singapore Adventurers’ Club (SAC) is partnering with Singapore Prison Service to host the NYAA Adventurous Journey and help the prison school students to achieve the NYAA award.
We are inviting volunteers to facilitate the NYAA Adventurous Journey and equip the students with knowledge in navigation, ropework, outdoor cooking, and first aid, and encourage the students to develop qualities of teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance.
SAC Facilitation Schedules at the prison school (subject to changes at SAC’s discretion):
* Facilitation Schedule A *
Dates: 11 and 12 October 2014, Saturday AND Sunday
Time: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (estimated)
* Facilitation Schedule B *
Dates: 25 and 26 October 2014, Saturday AND Sunday
Time: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (estimated)
* Facilitation Schedule C *
Dates: 6 and 13 December 2014, Saturday AND Saturday
Time: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (estimated)
* Facilitation Schedule D *
Dates: 14 and 21 December 2014, Sunday AND Sunday
Time: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (estimated)
Volunteer Requisites:
1) Age is above 21 years old.
2) Basic entry level skills or knowledge in navigation, ropework, outdoor cooking, and first aid is desired. Training is provided.
3) Attend COMPULSORY briefing and training on 4-Oct-2014 (Sat), 10am to 5pm.
