President’s Challenge raises record S$510,000 for charity

A total of S$510,000 was raised in the SingHealth President’s Challenge this year, a record for the healthcare group. The President’s Challenge is an annual campaign that raises funds for charity.

The cheque was presented to President Tony Tan Keng Yam on Saturday (Oct 18). This year, donations towards President’s Challenge will be matched dollar-for-dollar under the Government’s Care and Share movement, which will bring the total amount of funds raised by SingHealth to over S$1 million.

The President’s Challenge’s beneficiaries include Alzheimer’s Disease Association, National Kidney Foundation and the Society for the Physically Disabled.

SingHealth also set a new record for the “Largest Display of Pledge Stickers” in the Singapore Book of Records with a display of 9,318 heart-Pledge stickers.
