Society Staples is recruiting volunteers for its first Fitness Kaki event on 1 August, 11am – 530pm at the Fitness Protocol!
Fitness Kaki is an inaugural flagship event under Society Staples’ new initiative, Tinker Labs – a novelty pop up series aimed to bridge the social gaps of PWDs in society, and to accelerate the progress of Singapore towards a more inclusive future. It will feature innovative and fresh ideas aimed at creating new shared experiences, and expanding the status quo of possibilities and potentials of PWDs.
Aptly incorporating the Singaporean lingo for friend, Fitness Kaki is a platform to forge bonds of friendship through sports and exercise. It is Singapore’s first ever adaptive obstacle course where participants will undergo a pseudo firefighting experience and soak in the thrills and spills of being a fireman / firewoman for a day! There will also be other exciting activities like inclusive yoga and carnival games!
A staggered session based time slots system has been implemented to better cater to our volunteers’ schedule and needs. With various roles and flexible time slots to choose from, you’ll have a great time at Fitness Kaki, befriending the participants and helping the event run smoothly.
Volunteers are not required to stay for the entire event and volunteer sessions are only 1.5 hours each (excluding set up and tear down sessions).
In the volunteers’ signup form, it also indicates 3 roles where volunteers have the option of choosing their preferred volunteer role.
Sign up to be a volunteer @ bit.ly/Volunteerkaki by 26 July, Wednesday!
