CSCF Weekdays Volunteers Recruitment

Chou Sing Chu Foundation is a non-profit cultural and educational organisation that aims to promotes Chinese Culture, education and language.

Since 2015, CSCF started to train and form a family of volunteers to tell the stories in a fun and interactive manner to allow children to learn the language and ignite their imagination.

Since then the organisation has been organising over 150 storytelling sessions in public libraries, shopping malls and primary schools.

CSCF is now expanding the family to help more primary students to love Chinese and the organisation is looking for volunteers, who are good in Mandarin and passionate in Chinese language to spread the joy of reading to children in primary schools.

The volunteer job scope includes:
– Chinese Storytelling
– Coordination of Chinese storytelling session on the day itself
– Facilitating of activities
– Interact with parents, teacher & children

Aspired storytellers have to gone through a 3 hours training before doing storytelling. Volunteers whom have gone through training have to commit to at least 5 hours volunteer services to Chou Sing Chu Foundation.

Commitment hours:
– Minimum 5 sessions per year on ad hoc basis (weekdays)
– 8am-4pm (1 hour per session)
– Long term basis, 1 year and above

Volunteering criteria:
– 17 years age and above
– Speaks fluent chinese
– Mature and independent
– Passion with kids
