President’s Challenge 2012 Volunteer Drive‏

Make a difference – Volunteer
Be someone’s hero

This year, the President’s Challenge (PC) will be expanded beyond charity fundraising to incorporate a Volunteer Drive, which will take place in the months of August and September 2012. The President’s Challenge 2012 Volunteer Drive (PCVD) is a joint effort by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), and the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), in collaboration with non-profit organisations to promote the spirit of volunteerism.

Between 1st August to end September, be involved in a series of activities to get you started on your volunteering journey, or if, you are already volunteering, this is the time to spread the word of volunteerism within the community.

MWS Walk-A-Dogtion cum Getai

Our next fundraising event will be at Hougang Stadium on 12 August 2012 (3pm – 7pm)

Come join us for a fun and eventful day–some of Madam Wong Shelter (MWS)’s pretty and handsome (and adoptable!) furkids will also be there to celebrate National Day with us!

To show their support to MWS, Petssionate will be selling dog merchandise at our counter and a portion of the profits will be donated to MWS! You can also sponsor daily dog food by making orders with Petssionate, of which will be delivered to MWS after the event. Also, we will also be selling the popular National Day bandannas from Doggie-Wardrobe and 100% of the proceeds will go to MWS! The volunteers and the furkids look forward to all of your support!

The All-Product Recycling Initiative – Recycle your clothes!

If you have any unwanted Uniqlo clothes, be it summer or winter items, you are welcome to recycle it.

Simply bring your UNIQLO clothes to any of the stores island-wide by 31 August and help make a difference to people in desperate need. Your support is sincerely appreciated.

The All-Product Recycling Initiative accepts clothing from customers who no longer wear them and distributes them to people in need around the world. This program also recycles used clothing for industrial use. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.
