Metta Charity Run 2012

The Metta Charity Run is an annual community event organised by the Metta Welfare Association to raise funds for the development and enrichment of its disability, medical, special education and early intervention programmes in aid of some 1,000 beneficiaries from various races and religions.

Symbolising the significance of journeying with the less fortunate, the Metta Charity Run aims to get the hearts and feet of the community moving in favour of a good cause and a healthy lifestyle.

 
Date: 2 June 2012, Saturday
Start & End Point: Big Splash at East Coast Park
Time: Participants to assemble by 7am
Flag-off time:
7.30am for 10km run
7.45am for 5km run
8.00am for Parent & Child 800m Race

Hey Volunteers!

Join us for our first Mass Volunteer Event for the year!

Partnering Industrial & Services Co-operative Society Ltd and Singapore National Co-operative Federation, we will be requiring a total of nearly 300 volunteers!

 

This event is in celebration of the International Year of the Co-operatives and

volunteers are required to be part of this year’s event as ambassadors, supporting various segments. There will be TWO Singapore Book of Records Breaking attempts. Play a crucial role in executing this achievement with over 15,000 people!

 

There are 3 different activities for this event that you may sign up for:

Volunteerism Conference 2012

NVPC & SG Cares are organising a 3-day Volunteerism Conference 22 to 24 May 2012 at YMCA. The conference will explore and address issues, share ideas about engaging, raising and promoting the spirit of volunteerism with international guest speaker and volunteerism veteran, Susan J. Ellis.
