Over 550 people on Sunday skipped to raise S$10,000 for needy families staying in the East Coast GRC.
The skipathon was held at ITE College East.
Participants skipped for a whole hour, gathering about 1.24 million skips in total.
Their efforts earned a place in the Singapore Book of Records for the most number of skips in an hour.
Other features of the fund-raising event included free haircuts for 50 elderly residents.
