Singapore Airlines (SIA) will raise funds at six locations islandwide on Saturday for children with special needs, and donors stand to receive limited-edition panda-toy collectibles.
The collectibles, in the form of a panda plush toy clad in the signature SIA batik motif, will be available in male and female versions, according to a statement yesterday.
Each panda-toy collectible will be available with donations of S$20 or more. All funds raised will go to the Community Chest, in support of programmes that benefit children with special needs, said the statement.
As it is a limited-edition collectible, each member of the public may acquire a maximum of four panda toys, while stocks last.
SIA is the official airline flying giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia from China to Singapore. They are scheduled to arrive here on Thursday.
To make a donation, members of the public may approach SIA staff stationed at: Bugis Junction (ground level), Changi Airport Terminal 3 (basement 2), ION Orchard (basement 3), Plaza Singapura (ground-level atrium), Suntec City (basement 1) and United Square (basement 1).
