Students put best foot forward for charity run

Students from Assumption Pathway School (APS) taking off on their 5km fun run during a charity sporting event organised by the National University of Singapore Business School.

APS is one of the beneficiaries of the record $175,000 raised through donors and race registration fees. The amount was more than twice the funds collected in last year’s edition of the charity run, now into its third year.

About 1,000 runners participated in last Saturday’s event across three categories.

Among the crowd was former presidential candidate Tan Cheng Bock, who was participating in the fun run with his wife.

Of the funds raised, $125,000 will go to five student bursaries, while $50,000 will be donated to APS, the Society for the Physically Disabled and The New Charis Mission.
