In early August, together with a small group people called Love@Pal, they will be going to a school in Mustang District, near the Himalaya region in Nepal. This is a monastic school, well more like a home to ~78 boys (ages 4 to 15) & some monks who are there for the care of these boys. Most of these children are orphans or from destitute families. These children mostly do not have knowledge of hygiene & have skin irritations due to the weather & lack of cleaniness, basically in need of care. Besides free education, the school also provides the children with basic needs such as food, clothing and health assistance.
This is the 2nd project Love@Pal has worked on with the school. Last year, basic necessities and building of basketball court. This time, they are raising funds to build a dining hall, kitchen & storage for the school. Total cost required is SGD 70,000. So far they’ve raised 30,000. They’re still in short of 40,000 & there’s only less than 3 months before they go over.
