Son Rise Program – Call for Volunteers

The Son Rise Program is a one-on-one, home-based, child- centred therapy program which is based on love and respect for the child.

As part of this therapy program, the volunteers will be playing with Yi Rui through interactive games, helping him learn through his own motivation. Through the time spent with Yi Rui in a specially designed playroom, the goal is for him to be able to create meaningful relationships with others, and learn how to communicate with his peers.

Yi Rui is 12 years old, and is diagnosed with Autism.

Volunteers should preferably be able to commit for a minimum of 6 months, because this is a program based on the relationship and bond between the volunteer and the child. A playroom session will last for 2 hours every week.

Volunteers will be given full training and opportunities to help them become a more effective child facilitator. A teacher from the Autism Treatment Center of America will also be coming in mid June 2019 to train the people involved in this program.
