A flowery tribute to organ and tissue donors

A new Singapore record was set after students folded over a million paper roses as part of SingHealth’s Transplant Awareness Week.

Since April this year, over 20,000 students learnt about the organ donation process through SingHealth’s roadshow and activities held in their schools.

They folded paper flowers to create an art installation that serves as a tribute to organ and tissue donors.

It was launched by Minister of State for Health Dr Amy Khor on Tuesday.

The campaign was aimed at exposing youths to the issues involved in organ donation.

It is hoped that will allow them to make unbiased and informed decisions when the time comes for them to make a choice.
