Have a desire to make a difference in a youth’s life? Come & be a part of M.Y Mentoring!

A tailor-made programme that focuses on equipping youths on mental wellness and character development. Since its inception, we have touched the lives of over 1300 students and engaged more than 500 youth volunteers.

Impact a student by journeying with them as a Mentor

Role: Mentor
Date: 3-4 months between Mar– Aug 2024 (Weekly weekday sessions)
Time: 3h/session (afternoon)
Location: North & East

Residential Home
Role: Mentor (females only)
Date: 2 months between Apr– Aug 2024 (Weekly weekday sessions)
Time: 2.5h/session (evening)
Location: Northeast

18-30 years old
Interested to mentor youths (experience is advantageous)
Willing to learn, committed, responsible
Valid Sing Pass for MOE IRS

Mentor 13 – 16 year-old students in social emotional skills
Co-facilitate activities
Interview required
Training provided

Volunteering Opportunities for M.Y Strong Readers

MYMCA M.Y Strong Readers aims to encourage reading habits in children from low-income families, in hopes of using education to break the poverty cycle.

Role: Befriend preschool children & support activities
Date: Mar – Aug, weekly weekday sessions
Time: 3:45-5:45 PM
Location: North, Central

– Passionate towards children
– At least 17 years old
– Fluent in English
– Training provided
– Short interview session will be conducted

River Hongbao 2024 – Volunteer Recruitment

Are you looking to work with fellow volunteers to serve the community while making new friends and learning new skills? Look no further and volunteer at the River Hongbao 2024!

Be part of River Hongbao 2024, the largest annual Chinese New Year celebration in Singapore.

The event will run from 8 February to 17 February 2024 at the scenic Gardens by the Bay.

Here is what you can get when you join!

1) Heartware – River Hongbao 2024 – Volunteer Leaders (17 – 35 years old as of Year 2024 )

Hone your leadership, public speaking and people management skills as you guide the General Volunteers in visitor management!

• Just 2 full shifts on 8 – 12 Feb AND 4 other half shifts on any other dates

2) Heartware – River Hongbao – General Volunteers (15- 35 years old as of Year 2024)

Take this chance to enjoy an immersive experience into the rich Chinese culture and gain valuable interpersonal skills too!

Volunteer Recruitment for Bukit Merah Volunteers’ Service Group

Bukit Merah Volunteers’ Service Group is a group of volunteers serving in Jalan Bukit Merah, with a high population of elderly living alone.

The group visits 18 – 22 elderly living alone in rental units every Friday night from 7-9pm. Scope of volunteer work include befriending services, running minor errands for elderly like letter reading, arranging for medical support, replacement of faulty household appliances and home refurbishment services.

Address and Time: Meet at Pavilion of Blk 106 Jalan Bukit Merah S(160106), Friday, 7-9pm

Outfit: Casual as volunteers will be entering into the homes of the elderly

Requirements: All ages are welcome, so long as you believe in making a difference to the lives of the elderly. Most elderly can speak in Chinese, a few in English.
