Charity cruise takes some West Coast families on boat trip

Some families to took to the seas on Saturday when they went on board some private yachts for a cruise to the southern islands.

The families, who are from West Coast Division, were invited onto the yachts owned by private estate residents.

They had fun in the sun with activities such as jet-skiing, sightseeing, and other interactive games.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office S Iswaran flagged off the yachts on Saturday morning.

The charity cruise was held in collaboration with West Coast Garden Neighbourhood Committee, the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club, Family Life Champion, and Fei Yue Community Services.

The charity cruise is held in support of Project SunShine Charity Month, which was launched on November 10 this year.

The project is part of People’s Association Neighbourhood Committee Coordinating Council’s efforts to build a caring and compassionate community.

Over 70 neighbourhood committees in Singapore will be organising close to 60 charity outreach events in November, benefiting over 2,500 low-income residents in the community.
