This year’s Run For Hope has raised over $465,000 for cancer research at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS).
More than 11,000 runners took part in the event at the Promontory @ Marina Bay on Sunday.
Organisers Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and Regent Singapore said this is the largest turnout in the event’s 21-year history.
The amount accounts for the largest pool of funds raised from a run event organised by the hotels.
The two hotels also raised almost $25,000 through separate fund-raising activities in the lead-up to the event.
The proceeds from the run will go towards the NCCS Research Fund, which helps to finance a number of crucial research projects conducted at NCCS that aim to find a cure for cancer.
