50,000 daffodils were distributed at 12 MRT stations on Saturday in conjunction with World Cancer Day on February 4.
The aim is to spread hope for cancer patients and their loved ones, as well as increase awareness of the illness.
On the plastic wrap used to contain the flowers is a QR code that will highlight common misconceptions about cancer when scanned with a mobile phone.
The initiative by Ain Society also aimed to encourage people to go for cancer screening.
400 volunteers — including students, staff and cancer survivors — were among those who distributed the flowers.
