Volunteer Camp Leaders Needed for MYMCA Camps

Metropolitan YMCA Singapore (MYMCA) is looking for youth volunteers between the age of 15 to 25 years old to be its Camp Leaders.

MYMCA’s Learning & Adventure Programmes are for 4-13 years old, and there will be 4 kids camps this upcoming year-end school holidays.

1. SUPERKIDS CAMP 2019

Superkids Camp 2019
November 18-21
Daily 0800hrs – 1700hrs
A camp about multiple intelligences.
Camper are 4-9 years old.
Volunteers needed 5 to 6. All volunteers must be trained before leading in camps.

Volunteer must be taught basic pedagogical approaches, child observation skills and camp facilitation skills. Expect to practice.
Training Date: 1 or 8 November(Sat), 1pm to 5pm
Briefing Date: 16 November(Sat), 1pm to 3.30pm

2. MY FUN CAMP 2019

November 18-21
Daily 0800hrs – 1700hrs
Five day of super fun! A camp about friendship and values.
Campers are 4-13 years old.
Volunteers needed 8 to 12. All volunteers must be trained before leading in camps.

Volunteer will be briefed on basic pedagogical approaches, child observation skills and taught camp facilitation skills.
Training Date: 1 or 8 November(Sat), 1pm to 5pm
Briefing Date: 23 November(Sat), 9am to 11pm

3. COMMANDO CAMP 2019

Commando Camp 2019
December 2-5 (OVERNIGHT)
Overnight, Starts first day 0730, End last day 1700hrs

A fun filled 4 days 3 nights camp about Fitness, Creative Thinking and Problem-Solving.
Campers are 6-13 years old.
Volunteers needed 7 to 8. All volunteers must be trained before leading in camps.

Volunteer will be briefed on basic child observation skills and taught camp facilitation skills.
Training Date: 1 or 8 November(Sat), 1pm to 5pm
Briefing Date: 30 November(Sat), 9am to 11.30pm

4. MULTI-SPORTS CAMP 2019

Multi-Sports Camp 2019
December 16-19
Daily 0800hrs – 1700hrs

A fun filled 4 days camp about Fitness, Teamwork and Problem-Solving.
Campers are 4-13 years old.
Volunteers needed 6 to 7. All volunteers must be trained before leading in camps.

Volunteer will be briefed on basic child observation skills, sports skills and taught camp facilitation skills.
Training Date: 1 or 8 November(Sat), 1pm to 5pm
Briefing Date: 14 December(Sat), 9am to 11pm

Volunteers must be 15 years old and above and must be able to commit for the duration of the specific camp they express interest in!
Your commitment is very important for the experience of the campers.

All of MYMCA’s proceeds for camps will fund their outreach projects for communities and the low income families.

World Vision Advocate
Role: Help World Vision by sharing about their causes to shoppers at shopping malls and encourage potential sponsors to consider supporting the work. (It is a bonus if you are a current child sponsor and are able to share your personal conviction and stories about your journey as a sponsor!)

Commitment Level:
At least one 3-hour slot (12pm – 3pm / 3pm – 6pm / 5pm – 8pm)
*Training will be provided

Christmas Carolling
Bring Christmas cheer to shoppers by being part of the carolling entourage! Sign up as a group of 1-2 musicians and a minimum of 3 carollers.
Role: Caroller
Be able to hold a tune and love to sing!
Role: Musician (Keyboard/Guitarist)
Be able to play simple carolling songs (musical instruments will be provided, if needed).
Commitment Level:
Parkway Parade: 1 hour session (3.30pm – 4.30pm) on 14 – 15 Dec, 20 – 25 Dec

Gift Wrapper
If you have a knack for gift wrapping and would like to share your talent, spread the Christmas spirit and do good, then come on down to help with the gift wrapping services exclusively at Parkway Parade!

Role: Be able to successfully wrap a gift, including oddly-shaped items too!
Commitment Level:
Parkway Parade: 3 hours/day (12pm – 3pm / 3pm – 6pm / 5pm – 8pm) from 18 Nov – 29 Dec 2019

Foodnotes @ Bukit Panjang Volunteer Recruitment

Foodnotes@Bukit Panjang is an annual food donation drive organised by the Bukit Panjang Community Club Youth Network (formerly known as Youth Executive Committee) since 2014.

It is a fully youth-initiated event which aims to help the less privileged families in Bukit Panjang through community donations.

With the food donated by more than 50,000 kind residents and sponsorship partners, about 400 families benefit from Foodnotes@Bukit Panjang every year.

Having engaged 410 youth volunteers across different education institutes, the group hopes to instil a sense of responsibility towards building a caring society in them with a hands-on approach.

NKF Flag Day 2019 – Volunteer Recruitment

NKF Flag Day is back on 9 November 2019. NKF is looking for 1,500 volunteers island-wide to raise funds and spread kidney health messages in the community.

Rally your family and friends to join NKF for a day of fun as you do good!

All funds raised from this event will help provide affordable, sustainable and quality treatment and care for needy kidney patients.

There are 5 locations with 3 shift timings to choose from:

5 donation tin collection points
– Bishan MRT station
– Bugis MRT station
– Jurong East MRT station
– Tampines MRT station
– Woodlands MRT station

3 shifts to choose from:
9am – 1pm
12pm – 4pm
2pm – 6pm

All street collection volunteers must be 15 years old and above. Adult supervision will be required/arranged for volunteers below 15 years old.

All volunteers will receive an NKF T-shirt to help spread kidney health messages while raising funds.
