Pause for Paws raises over $3,000 in charity car wash

Students from Anderson Junior College organised a fundraiser car wash to celebrate International Homeless Animal Day (IHAD) last weekend.

The aim of the event was to help raise awareness of abandoned animals and the implications of pet overpopulation in Singapore.

The organisers hoped that through the fundraiser, the public can understand the importance of responsible pet ownership.

A total amount of $3081.50 was collected from washing over 100 cars.

These proceeds will be used towards supporting the activities at Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) who rescues, rehabilitates and sterilises strays and finds them good loving homes.

Car owners also received a $30 goodie bag from sponsers Pet Lovers Centre and Sonax.
