Solo exhibition of the late Zhou Ya Tong – paintings of the late local artist donated by his nephew Chong An Beng will be on display in January 5 to 14, 2013.
The late Zhou was single, and a volunteer driver at the St John Ambulance Brigade once a week. He led a simple life as a full-time artist at the Singapore Art Society and worked as a commercial artist before he retired. He never once held a solo exhibition, only joint ones. His work mostly surrounded kampong life, especially Pulau Ubin, where he liked going to paint. The Tsao Foundation is the beneficiary of this exhibition.
