Lianhe Wanbao, an evening daily of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2013 with the theme “Wanbao – 30 Years of Dedication”.
As part of its celebrations, Lianhe Wanbao had initiated a charity drive campaign called “A Heart of Gold Starts with a Cent” in February, and has been making donations to various charity organisations. Today, Lianhe Wanbao will be presenting a cheque for $33,000 to Yong-en Care Centre.
Since March, Lianhe Wanbao has made donations to different charity organisations each month. They are:
– Thong Chai Medical Institution – $33,000
– Singapore Buddhist Lodge – $45,743
– “Big Love” Child Protection Service by Marine Parade Family Service Centre
– $34,000 – Yong-En Care Centre – $33,000
