Art Stage Singapore Volunteer Program 2018

Art Stage Singapore will be conducting a voluntary program in its upcoming show held at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre from 25 – 28 January 2018.

The program is intended for anyone who is passionate for arts and design. It is aimed at those who wish to experience the behind-the-scenes of an art event, and also the operations of building the fair.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In this program, volunteers are able to showcase their communication skills, develop and build their intuition, support and work with the section managers in the buildup of the show.

The breakdown of the job responsibilities are as follows:
1. Attend to visitor feedback and queries
2. Assist in distribution of publications and collaterals
3. Provide traffic control support within the FOH areas
4. Provide information and project brief about the public artworks
5. Assist section managers in maintaining the fairground
6. Perform talks and workshop ushering and registration duties

BENEFITS AND WELFARE

As a token of appreciation, each volunteer will be receiving a welfare kit consisting of a pair of complimentary tickets to the fair, certificate of participation and all meals will be provided during their shifts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

No prior experience in art is required. But Art Stage is looking for outgoing and motivated individual who are keen in art and in meeting people around the world.

There will be a compulsory training session for all applicants on the Saturday, 20 January 2018 from 11:30am to 1:30pm, so that they will be well equipped with knowledge and skills for the task work. They must also commit to a minimum of 3 shifts from 23 – 28 January 2018.

There will be a total of two shifts per day. The morning shift starts from 10.00am/11.00am to 3.30pm/4:30pm, and the afternoon shift starts from 3/4pm to 7.30pm/9.30pm for weekends.
