Volunteer Camp Leaders Needed for MYMCA Children Camps!

Metropolitan YMCA Singapore (MYMCA) is looking for youth volunteers between the age of 15 to 25 years old to be its Camp Leaders.

Its camp is different and challenging but it will be a tough and rewarding experience that you cannot find anywhere else!

Learning & Adventure Programmes are for 6-12 years old, and there will be two children camp this upcoming March school holidays.

Volunteers are needed to help out in these 2 camps.

Dates: March 15-17

Because the future of Singapore and our world lies in the hands of our children, we hope to plant environmental concern in them and perhaps interest them in the broad and important discipline of environmental sustainability. These activities are designed for kids to understand the benefit of being tidier, organized & responsible. The values of being considerate and compassionate will also be emphasised.

The campers are 6-12 years old. It is compulsory to attend the camp brief.

This is a demanding camp that need you to be leading the campers to meet the timings and taking care of them.
Other than playing the role of a responsible facilitator for the campers, you also are expected to have the knowledge to engage the kids about of the theme & special activities of your camp.
Knowledge of Singapore history will be a bonus.

The campers are 7-12 years old. It is compulsory to attend the camp brief.

All volunteers must be trained before leading in camps.

Volunteers must be taught basic pedagogical approaches, child observation skills and camp facilitation skills.
The revised basic camp leader training will be available for weekdays and weekend.

Below are the dates that will be available:

Volunteers must be able to commit for the duration of the specific camp they express interest in!

Your commitment is very important for the experience of the campers.
