Buy a smile and help a child this November

For the month of November, proceeds from every “Ronald McDonald Smile” sold will go towards helping sick children from needy families through the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

Since 1989, RMHC has has helped more than 900 sick children from needy families in Singapore with over $5 million in grants for medical, surgical and rehabilitative treatments.

To officially kick off their fundraising efforts, over 400 volunteer staff will be selling the “Ronald McDonald Smiles” on Sunday afternoon. It will also be sold at all restaurants.

The fundraising initiative raised some S$62,000 for the fast food chain’s various charities last year.

This year, the public can also raise money for their charities by posing with a “smile” and posting it on the photo app Instagram, with the hashtag “mchappysmile” in the caption.

McDonald’s will donate S$100 to one chosen participant’s charity every week for the month.
