There’s no better time than the festive season to remember the less-privileged.
Second Minister for Home Affairs & Trade and Industry, S Iswaran, said this while visiting a donation drive by Indian self-help group SINDA on Saturday.
Project GIVE, now into its 12th year, raises funds for Indian families who need help in their educational expenses.
It expects to raise enough money to fund about 1,000 bursaries, as well as funds to cover textbooks and pocket money.
Mr Iswaran was visiting Campbell Lane which has been transformed into a festive area selling Deepavali goodies, traditional clothing and wares.
