Recycle your cosmetics containers with Origins

Skincare brand Origins is joining forces with the National Environment Agency (NEA) to encourage more people to recycle their plastic glass containers for cosmetic products and toiletries.

The public can drop their cosmetic containers from any brand for recycling at all Origins’ counters, located at Isetan Scotts, Robinsons Raffles City and Centrepoint, Metro Paragon or Tangs Vivo City.

This year-long initiative called Project E.A.R.T.H. aims to achieve a target collection of 8,000 cosmetic containers.

Over the years, Singapore has seen a surge in cosmetic and skincare consumerism by 6 per cent from 2011 to 2012, but the recycling of cosmetic packaging and toiletries is usually overlooked, in spite of high public awareness.
